WiFi QR code generator
A WiFi QR code lets guests join your network by pointing their camera at it — no spelling out long passwords. The network name, password and security type are stored in the code itself, so it works offline and nothing is sent to us.
Static: stored in the pattern, works offline and forever, cannot be edited or tracked.
What people use it for
- Cafés, restaurants and hotel rooms: put it on tables, menus or the room card.
- Offices and co-working spaces: a sign at reception for the guest network.
- At home or on Airbnb listings: a framed code by the door.
How to make it
- 1Choose “Wi-Fi”, enter the network name (SSID) exactly as it appears.
- 2Enter the password and pick the security type — usually WPA/WPA2/WPA3.
- 3Tick “Hidden network” only if your network does not broadcast its name.
- 4Download, print and place it where guests can see it.
Tips for a code that scans every time
- Use a separate guest network so visitors never get your main password.
- If you change the password, generate a new code — static codes cannot be edited.
- A frame with “Scan to join Wi-Fi” makes the purpose obvious.
Frequently asked questions
Does a WiFi QR code work on iPhone?
Yes. iPhones (iOS 11 and later) and Android phones join the network straight from the camera app.
Is it safe to put my WiFi password in a QR code?
Anyone who scans the code can join, so use it for a guest network. The password is not uploaded anywhere — it lives only in the printed code.
What if I change my WiFi password?
Create a new code with the new password and replace the old print.
